Steén are timeless clothes that seamlessly take you from the cosy comfort of your home to the office, an event, a playdate or a dinner – always making you feel dressed up and comfortable. The minimal designs are easy to wear and incorporate with your own unique style and seasonal trends. 

I grew up in south of Sweden, in a cute city surrounded by beautiful nature. My first style icon was my grandmother Birgit. She kept track of all the latest trends, adapted them into her own style and naturally she was the one who took me shopping. From Birgit I learned about the circularity of fashion and although I had to buy/inherit new/used things because I was growing, Birgit could, and still can, always magically find something for herself to re-use for the latest trends in her own fantastic wardrobe.

  In my mid twenties I wanted to explore Europe and I spent time between London, Madrid, Paris and Brussels working in advertising and remote for the small Spanish luxury accessories brand Victoria de Talhora. I developed a beautiful connection with Victoria de Talhora’s owner, Victoria, and today I call her my Spanish mum. From Victoria I learned the importance of not only choosing the highest quality material for your products but to also give the same attention to creating an immaculate finish to obtain a true long lasting product. 

In 2017, after many years of hopping between cities I found myself settling down in the buzzing and creative neighbourhood Hackney in East London. I jumped into full time freelance advertising and spent endless hours at different offices across the city, learning a lot, saving what I could but constantly dreaming of having my own small business where I could create beautiful things.

 During the 2020 pandemic I finally found myself with both money and time to invest and after eternal research, phone calls and a sustainable factory visit in London, Steén was born. I’m growing the brand consciously and slowly, piece by piece, with only one continuous collection. My partner Francesco and our daughter Wilma spend our time between our London home and with our families in Sweden, Spain and Italy and with Steén I can proudly say that I’m creating the clothes that I was previously always looking for – the items that you want to wear every day and that make the rest of your wardrobe come together.
