We had a magical last week of summer in London at the beginning of October and we met up with Mika and spent a sunny and warm afternoon with her in her neighbourhood Clerkenwell. She also showed us her beautiful and stylish guardian ship flat in an old pub.
Mika is an an architect and yogi from London, with heritage from Cyprus and Japan. She studied at the Bartlett and was lucky enough to be able to work further afield in places such as Switzerland and Japan as an intern, and has since been based in London. She enjoys the playful, explorative and unpredictable aspects of designing and challenge of trusting the process to lead you somewhere interesting.
Mika discovered yoga about 10 years ago and has found it to be a precious practice that is both joyful and challenging and has helped to manage various life pressures. It has become a valuable tool for her to unlock the potential within both mind and body, and has led her into other somatic and spiritual practices such as hand balancing and meditation.
