We meet best friends Natasha and Alexander in Alexander's home in Lower Clapton and then we head over to Chatsworth Road to chat all things friendship and their love for the east London neighbourhood they both currently call home.
Natasha is wearing the Copenhagen Cardigan in beige and the Madrid Trousers in sand and Alexander is wearing the Stockholm Jumper in charcoal grey.
Natasha is an ex-dancer and now works as a dance healthcare specialist, helping to rehab and guide individuals back to full training. Natasha’s roots lay in East London, with her childhood spent visiting family in Whitechapel and listening to the stories of those that came before her. She describes Clapton as ‘full of heart’.
Through Natasha’s side hussle @align_massage - Natasha’s been lucky enough to meet many individuals and hear plenty of stories of those who grew up in Clapton and of those who have simply just ended up here - much like her! She says ‘Clapton has seen me arrive. It’s watched me grow, and soon, it will wave as it watches me leave to pastures new. But the people, the park, pubs, foxes and streets, will always be a part of me, wherever my journey takes me next’.
Alexander is a Londoner. Born in west London gradually migrating to the east of the city via a few years in Amsterdam and Latin America, he calls now calls Hackney’s Clapton his home.
Well known for its natural wine bars and trendy spots to eat - Alexander also loves the surprisingly easy access to nature the area provides via its parks, marshes, wetlands & the River Lea - all a stone’s throw from his home.
He loves the sense of belonging the area provides and aims to reflect this in his home - a simple aesthetic with warm neutral tones and respectful attention paid to its period features. He wants his home to feel as open and welcoming as the people and the community that surround him.
